Lady Bug Birthday

It was a long night which turned into a long day. My 10 m.o. contracted a strep virus somehow and was up all night drooling and crying. I've been changing his shirt about every hour because it gets soaked from all of his drool. I think his little tummy hurts, too. He keeps arching his back and screaming. The convenient care NP put him on an antibiotic but if he doesn't get any better, I'll be heading to his Dr. (DH is on a fishing trip):(

I quickly put this card together while he slept for a couple of hours this morning. He's down now again so I'm able to post this for Birthday Sundaes' three circles challenge and Whimsical Wednesday's old school Cricutless challenge. I used the lady bug from the Stampin' Up Little Layers set and the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set. I also wanted to try the ruffled ribbon technique I've been seeing a lot of. I tried to do it like all of the You Tube videos showed but somehow it doesn't quite look right. I wonder if it is the type of ribbon I used (Doodlebug)? I did emboss the black with the Swiss Dot folder. I hope this is still "old school":-) Thanks for stopping by. Please consider "likeing" my FB page and have a creative day:-)

Oh, forgot to mention I didn't have any black Stickles so I used this A La Mode "glitter glue" I found in a drawer. It's more like glue with black flecks. Not so happy with it. I think I'll sneak it into the kids' craft drawer:-)

  14. Tammy I can totally relate to you about the teething and having to change the shirt in what seems like every minute. I finally started putting a bib on Emily and that helped. I also bought the natural teething pills from the vitamin store and OMG they worked wonders. I swear by them. I hope your little on feels better soon.

Your card is stunning. I LOVE the way you did the ribbon. I think it looks perfect. The ladybugs are totally adorable and the glitters is so so pretty. Not sure why you don't like it. Love the embossing. The papers you chose. Everything about it is incredible. You did a great job with the challenge. Thank you for joining us at Whimsical Wednesday.
