I must say I am glad to know why I have been in so much pain the past week but not so happy that it's my gall bladder:-P And, unfortunately I'll have to live with this pain until I get an appt set up to get it taken care of:-( It is nice to work on challenge cards because it takes my mind off of the pain for a short while. I was able to get one card done this week for Pause Dream Enjoy blog challenge.
I used one of my favorite carts, Nifty Fifties, along with the coordinating Cuttlebug embossing folder. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Pink-a-licious set stamped with Stampin' Up's Melon Mambo. Yes, I had to add a little Stickles:-) Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)

It's time again for Erica's ultra fun 100 cart blog hop! If you're here because you are one of my super awesome loyal followers, then I'm going to redirect you to My Cricut Craft Room because I don't want you to miss out on all of this weekend's goodies:-) If you've come from Heather's blog then you are on the right track!
My first project is a card I made by using the Nifty Fifties cartridge - one of my favorites! I layered the toaster cut from page 37 onto Basic Grey's "Nook & Pantry" cardstock. I embellished the card stock with a strip of felt ric-rac and added the perfect sentiment from Scrappy Moms' "A Pinch an a Dash" set. The tag die is from My Creative Time.
I made these little favors for my friend who is expecting anytime now. Yes, she is having a boy! I used the favor box cut on page 69 from the Life is a Party cartridge and the "B" layer. Tied it up with some PTI (Paper Trey Ink) ribbon and whola - quick and cute party favors!
I also made this self-adhesive note holder by using an 4" x 6" acrylic frame. I will be honest, I had everything put together and couldn't find a 5" x 7" frame, so I had to cut down the "Snow Buddies" patterned paper from reminisce and use a 4" x 6" acrylic frame and a smaller self-adhesive note pad. I used Black Soot Distressed Stickles on the "coal buttons" and stamped the scarf with some snow flakes from Stampin' Up's "Snow Flurries" set. The adorable sentiment is from Pink By Design's "Winter Fun" set which I curved onto my acrylic block before I stamped it:-)
Now for the goodies:-) Please leave a comment on THIS post and let me know what one of your New Years resolutions are for a chance to win these crafting goodies!
Thanks for hopping by:-) Your next stop is the fabulously creative Suzy! If you think you missed someone the hop list is below.

Welcome to another Theme Day Thursday at My Cricut Craftroom.
My project was actually inspired by my mom. She sews fabulous 18" doll clothes and sells them in her Etsy store. I was poking around her sewing room the other day and came across a doll pattern for "costumes". There it was staring me right in the face... a 50's poodle skirt "costume"! I knew exactly what I was going to do for today after seeing that:-) I just love the fifties!
I cut the skirt and binding out of pink craft felt. Then using my Gypsy, Circut Expression, and Nifty Fifties cart, I cut the poodle out of stiff black felt. I cut very nicely, even at 2 1/2". I also used a new mat to make sure the felt wouldn't shift. My Gypsy didn't allow me to "hide" the leash part so I carefully trimmed it off . I added Thistle Stickles to the neck and let dry. I glued on the black cording and the felt poodle before I sewed on the binding. Now my doll is ready to Rock N Roll!!
Make sure you check out Erica's blog today to see all of the other cool Retro projects. Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)

What's Up?
Just Wordz post HERE
It sure feels good to be making challenge cards again. That darned thing called "Life" interrupted my crafting time;-) This card is for Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge. I was so excited that one of the carts was Nifty Fifties - my favorite! I was bummed to notice I didn't have their A Pinch And A Dash stamp set:-( I swear I did when I started this card, but I soon will:-) Looks like it shipped yesterday. So I had to improvise and use a cute font on my computer, Fabulous 50s. Thanks for stopping by:-) Have a creative day!

Just Wordz Stamp Release Celebration
Today Kimberly at Just Wordz is celebrating the release of her new stamp line! I am privileged to be one her first Design Team. I just love working with these stamps. They are so versatile and much easier than printing on cardstock from a computer. You can arrange as few or as many words as you like, in any direction, and sometimes any shape:-) She is giving away one of her sets just for leaving a comment each week that her celebrations runs.
Here is my card using two words from her set. The cut is from the Nifty Fifties Cricut Cartridge, the embossing is the Nifty Fifties coordinating Cuttlebug folder, and the cardstock is from Stampin' Up and DCWV Nana's Kitchen. I also used S/U dazzling diamonds for the martini and beaded a wire for the "glass id tag".
If you came from her site to check out mine, thanks for stopping. If you're already a follower and haven't discovered Kimberly's wonderful blog, you can click HERE. You can also visit the other DT members to have an extra chance at winning Kimberly's stamps.

A Sweet Hello
Good morning crafters! Hope all of you had a fabulous Fourth:-) Let's just say I'm glad the day is done. Big birthday party for my baby who turned 1 (one). Yes, he's my little firecracker for sure. Action plus!
Ruthie asked if I would do a card for her July Tacky Tuesday Challenge showcasing a cool summer treat and using the word sweet. Since I've been in this 50's zone, (you'll soon find out what I'm talking about when I get a certain package from a certain Kathy) I used one of my favorite carts, Nifty Fifties, along with the coordinating embossing folder. I also used swiss dots and script folders. The cardstock is S/U, the twine is from The Twinery, the sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Sweet Somethings set, and of course Stickles. I sized this card to fit into a 6.5" x 5" envelope. I have quite a surplus of these purchased at a local drugstore sidewalk sale:-)
Please join us on Facebook for September Ninth's Tacky Tuesday's Challenge. It's extremely fun! Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

You're The Cat's Meow
Oh I'm not even going to tell you how long I spent on this simple looking card. Let's just say I waited waaaayyyy too long to start it! I was waiting for my embossing folders to come in the mail (not here yet) and forgot to start the card. It got to be the principle of the thing to just get it submitted to the Cooking With Cricut challenge by the deadline (less than 1/2 hour from now). So quickly I'll explain we had to use our favorite cart {Nifty Fifties} and our favorite color {duh!}. I did some purple Stickles but that was about it. I used S/U, PTI and DCWV Retro Mod CS. Sorry about being so curt but I've gotta fly:-) Thanks for stopping by. Have a super creative tomorrow:-)

Let's Roll Daddy-O!
Did I mention I love the 50's style?! I simply love the colors and the graphics! Funny though, this is the first time I used this cart. I originally purchased it because my mom wanted me to cut a poodle for a poodle skirt she was making (for what I have no idea). When the Simply Sunday challenge came around I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Luckily I am able to submit this card for Tacky Tuesday and Cricut Cardz. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)
