Happy Thanksgiving

I'm so thrilled I actually did another challenge card! This one is for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge,  Celebrate The Occasion, Die Cuttin' Divas, Wacky Wednesday, Cooking With Cricut, and Cricut Cardz. For this card I used the turkey from the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge. I used the Houndstooth and D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folders on the little guy. I stamped an A2 sized Very Vanilla CS with Sanded BG stamp from Stampin' Up. I also used Stampin' Ups corner punch and added some Paprika Stickles. The border punch is from Martha Stewart.

If you haven't entered any of these challenges yet, there's still time. Click on the challenges above and you should be taken right to the sites. Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)

Happy Holidays

Jump to the Just Wordz Celebration post by clicking HERE!

It's sure hard to think about cold & snow when it's 90+ outside with 80%+ humidity. So, to get a little holiday inspiration, I wandered through Hobby Lobby's Christmas displays:-) Really, it was research! {hee hee}. For this card I used the Winter Woodland cart, some cuttlebug embossing folders for texture, a background stamp from Stampin' Up for a subtle pattern, some silver cs for that metallic feel, as well as a little bling for that "icey" feel.

I've submitted this card to Celebrate The Occasion, Wacky Wednesday, Cricut Cardz, Throwback Thursday, and Cricut 360. Go check out these challenges. There is still some time if you'd like to play along. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Graduation Card

Good Morning crafting friends! I finished my nephew's graduation card last night after Idol. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University last week and I need to get this out to him. I'm also submitting it to yesterday's Cricut Cardz challenge. The graduation cap cut is from the Locker Talk cart. The sentiment is from My Creative Time "Follow Your Dreams" set. I also used some CS from the DCWV High School mat stack and the Houndstooth BG stamp from SU. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Let's Roll Daddy-O!

Did I mention I love the 50's style?! I simply love the colors and the graphics! Funny though, this is the first time I used this cart. I originally purchased it because my mom wanted me to cut a poodle for a poodle skirt she was making (for what I have no idea). When the Simply Sunday challenge came around I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Luckily I am able to submit this card for Tacky Tuesday and Cricut Cardz. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Relax!

If you are looking for my blog candy post click HERE.

Oh, if only...  Well, at least I can pretend to be on a sandy beach somewhere reading a good book (or two). I combined two challenges for this card; Cricut Cardz beach theme challenge and Paper Playtime's tall card challenge. I used Create a Critter and Life's a Beach carts. Hope you find this card "relaxing":-) Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to check out my blog candy giveaway and have a creative evening:-)

Happy Mother's Day

Trying not to let these past three weeks of rain get me down, I decided to try and get a card done for a few challenges. This entry is for the Cricut Cardz Mother's Day challenge, The Fantabulous Cricut Mom's the word challenge, and today's Scrappy Mom's Terrific Tuesday Paisley challenge. I was disappointed I couldn't find the right ribbon for my card but I need to submit it tonight for Cricut Cardz. I think I'll go buy every blue ribbon that Hobby Lobby has tomorrow so I won't run into this issue again:-) Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day!

Welcome

It's just not happenin' for me:-/ Once again, I had and idea but it didn't come out like I thought it would. And now it's too late to start over because I need to upload this card for the Cricut Cardz challenge and then get movin' on the birthday gift for my friend. I only have maybe two days to get it done. Yes, the flourish looks like an afterthought because I did forget to incorporate it into my card and did not want to start over. Oh well, at least I'm done. I used My Community and Cake Basics carts for this card. The CS is from Stampin' Up!.

Ewe Are The Best!

I can't believe it's almost April! I have two months to get this house unpacked before school's out?!! Where did the time go? Oh yeah, b-a-b-y. Speaking of, he is ripping file folders apart while I'm trying to upload this card for two challenges. The first, Cricut Cardz is a Spring project using pink, green, and white (oops, I just noticed I used some brown, shhhh, don't tell) only and any cart. The other challenge is a new one for me, Cooking With Cricut. This challenge requires a lion or lamb. Thanks to Carri A Busy Bee I'm entering this into the Creative Cutter's blog challenge, also:-)

Sweet and Simple Thank You

Happy Friday everyone! My 8 month old actually napped this afternoon (must be a growth spurt) so I was able to work on a challenge card. This one is for the Cricut Cardz challenge. The parameters are that it is Thank You card, use a Cricut cut border, and have the colors Yellow, Blue and White. I'm also going to use it for today's Paper Cutz challenge which is crafter's choice. For the border I used Gypsy Wanderings and the lamb is from Wall Decor and More. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Happy St Pat's Day

Happy Monday Crafting Friends:-) What an icy morning drive to school. The roads were a sheet of ice. Ugh! Took forever to drop off my kids. I cannot wait until this weather is done. I welcome and early Spring.
Yes, I've used my new favorite cart again, Simply Charmed. The layering is so easy. I submitted this card for the Cricut Cardz Blog Challenge. The theme is St. Patrick's Day with no shamrocks. I decided not use the cute leprechaun but go for the pot o' gold with a "Springy" background.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day!

Espresso Yourself!

Once again I'm cutting it close to a blog challenge cut-off. Cricut Cardz Challenge is to use a cup image from any cart. There are actually a lot of cup images to choose from! I couldn't decide which to use so I settled on the one from Graphically Speaking. The cardstock and ribbon is American Crafts I bought from ScrapbookSteals.com.  I printed out the sentiment from my computer with the Unforgettable font I bought from Two Peas In A Bucket
Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Purple Dino Valentine

Got all of my groceries this morning and filled up my car. Salt and shovels ready and a list of activities for the kids ready. The big snow is coming tonight and I think I'm prepared for a week of being shut in instead of one day. I was recalling when we were off of school in '79 for over a week because there was so much snow. I think I need to find those pics and post with whatever the kids do in the snow tomorrow.
Here is my entry for three challenges. Cricut Cardz required a Valentine's Day card for a child, Crop Stop wanted us to emboss with folders or stylus in at least two different patterns, and Paper Playtime was an anything goes challenge. I knew I wanted to do a card for my son to put in his lunch box but, when I saw Crop Stops challenge I knew I had to do the T-rex from Create A Critter (just can't get away from this cart). I was able to use folders that I haven't used yet. I purchased them because I knew they would be great patterns for animals. The background you'll recognize as Traffic Jam. I used Tiny Mosaic and Tiny Bubbles on the dino. I couldn't find the exact sentiment I wanted to I used two stamps from Scrappy Moms, the word I wanted from each and stamped onto cs. It took a lot of restraint not to "bling" it up with Stickles or ribbon. My son wouldn't be too happy about that.

Cricut Cardz Snowman

I almost forgot to submit this card for the Cricut Cardz Challenge! We were to use a snowman cut from any cart in any color. Well, you know when the color is crafter's choice it's always purple for me:-) I did a little embossing because I thought that was a criteria but I mixed up my challenge requirements with the Throwback Thursday challenge. I think it came out rather cute with the embossing.

You Rock!

Well, I was trying to find inspiration for Cricut Cardz red, black, and white challenge without being too valentiney (is that a word?). I was reading some blogs and came across Cricut Crafts by Angela's blog. She had done an adorable card for a boy named Charlie who is battling a rare skin condition called epidermolysis bullosa. I knew right away I would do my CC challenge for him. I am really liking the Smiley Cards cart so I used the guitar cut. I think I'm getting the hang of this cart even without the booklet. Thanks to a FB post by My Pink Stamper, I was able to print out a color copy of all of the images. It makes it easier to see how the layers go together. I used SU checkerboard BG stamp and DCWV pp. I didn't have the right size punch so I used George and BS for the star.

Baby Thank You Card

Wow, two cards in one day! My DH took the baby for a stroller ride on the bike path and the other two are outside enjoying the humidity-free day. I needed another thank you card for a baby gift I just received so I made a quick card which passes two blog challenge criteria. Cricut Cardz Challenge was to incorporate a scalloped shape and at Papercutz Challenge I needed to use 1 ribbon, 2 buttons, and 3 colors of my choice.

Cricut Cardz Challenge

I just love cupcakes! This weeks Cricut Cardz Challenge was to make a card using a cake, cupcake, cookies or candy. I used the Sweet Treats Cart along with DCWV Sweet Stack and Scrappy Moms stamp. Thanks for looking:-)

Cricut Cardz Challenge

Well, I was able to get another challenge uploaded. I hope I get through the weekend to finish a few more, but tomorrow is a full moon and a lot of babies are born during low atmospheric pressure. My first was anyway. So I'll keep cutting, gluing and glittering until I have to go to the hospital. Maybe I'll even get to bring my Gypsy;-)

This Cricut Cardz Challenge was to make a card for a wedding using any cartridge(s) or colors we'd like. I wanted to try out one of my new embossing plates from SU. I couldn't get it to emboss very deep so the pattern is difficult to see. The silver CS also reflected my camera's flash so it is hard to distinguish the black CS behind the silver.

Cricut Cardz Challenge #28

This is my entry for the Cricut Cardz Blogspot challenge. This week the rules are to make a card using shoes and any cartridge(s), colors or theme you'd like. I chose to do a card instead of a layout since I was short on time. I was thinking "baby shoes" but didn't have the enough time to sort through all of those baby pics:-)
