FCCB Organize It Cricut Crawl

Happy Monday to all of you! Today is a special Monday challenge at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog - It's a Cricut Crawl! Yippee!!! :-) The FCCB Design Team has put together a fabulous assortment of "organizing" projects using our Cricut Machines. Please make sure you start at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to find out what the rules and prizes are!

My project is an interchangeable acrylic Post-It note holder. My goal was to use paper and cardstock that I already have, as well as my long time neglected Peachy Keen stamps.

First I cut my background papers to fit the 5x7 acrylic frame. I then sifted through my card stock scraps to find coordinating colors. I used my Simply Charmed, Create A Critter, PPDU, Cheerful Seasons, Summer Celebrations, and Independence Day carts to achieve a character for every month. After piecing them together I embellished with Stickles, PK stamps, and white gel pen. And whola! A Post-It note holder with added year-round interest:-)

The line up for our challenge this week is listed below. Please make sure you stop at everyone's blog. I know there are quite a few giveaways that you don't want to miss. Which brings me to mention my Valentine Embellie giveaway! Simply be a follower of my blog and post a comment that you are. How easy is that? An extra entry for those who bring a friend - just have them mention your name in their post:-) Your next stop is the fabulous Connie!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)

Valentine Cards

Well, it sure feels good to be back in my craft room:-) It's been over a month! Time flies when you're attending to family activities.

I saw this fabulous valentine idea on My Craft Spot. Kimberly did a super cute frog tag that fit perfectly in the bitty Whisker Graphics bags. I copied the one she did to use for the girls in my son's class and then did one of my own for the boys.

The tag is cut at 4.25 and the frog and alien are cut at 2.38. The frog is from the Cricut Create a Critter cart and the alien is from the Boys Will Be Boys cart.

I stamped the back with the Valentine sentiment and had my son sign all of them. The super cute words and sentiments are from My Craft Spot's Build A Valentine set. The baker's twine is from Trendy Twine. Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)

Thanks for stopping by for another Theme Day Thursday at My Cricut Craftroom. Today's theme centers around the ocean and ocean animals. I just couldn't resist using one of my favorite carts, Create A Critter! I embossed the middle section of the fish with the Spots and Dots Cuttlebug folder. I also used a Cuttlebug folder, Mesh, for the seaweed. The patterned cardstock is from DCWV The Glitter Mat Stack and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Even More Punny-licious stamp set.

Please visit My Cricut Craftroom to see the other themed projects. Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)

Theme Day Thursday Baby Layout

Today's theme at My Cricut Craft Room (if you haven't guessed already) is "Baby". These are the first two pages for my youngest's "baby book" that I am working on. I used the Alphalicious and Create-A-Critter carts for the wording and Hero Arts' Fanciful Swirl Alphabet set for the stamped date. I'm trying to incorporate the K & Company's Itsy Bitsy Baby Boy stack into the whole album so it has some continuity.

Birthday Invitations

Good evening fellow all night crafters:-) I'm just getting started with the weekend chores and it is 10:30pm! Looks like an all nighter:-( Before I head to Walmart (thank goodness for 24 hour stores) I thought I'd share with you a peak at my son's birthday invites. He will be one on the fourth of July so I incorporated some RW&B. He also likes turtles. I entering this for the Paper Playtime Challenge, too.

For this invite I used Create A Critter for the turtle and part of the hat. I used another cut from Everyday Paper Dolls for the blue part. The balloon cut came from George. The CS is a combo of Stampin' Up, PTI, and DCWV Baby Boy Stack (I like to spread the love<3), Stickles, and airmail twine from The Cupcake SocialOff to start the laundry then head to the store! Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day or what's left of it:-)

Relax!

If you are looking for my blog candy post click HERE.

Oh, if only...  Well, at least I can pretend to be on a sandy beach somewhere reading a good book (or two). I combined two challenges for this card; Cricut Cardz beach theme challenge and Paper Playtime's tall card challenge. I used Create a Critter and Life's a Beach carts. Hope you find this card "relaxing":-) Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to check out my blog candy giveaway and have a creative evening:-)

Hogs & Kisses

Here is my entry for the Terrific Tuesday Create A Critter cart challenge and Wacky Wednesday's farm challenge. I don't know if I've ever seen purple pigs on a farm or a pig wearing a dress for that matter;-) But, here she is giving out "hogs & kisses".

Wild about you!

Well, after one week after another of sick family members, including myself, I'm excited to get back to doing challenges. The first one this week is for Paper Playtime challenge. I don't know if you can see it, but there are animal prints inside each circle in the patterned paper. I think it is also hard to tell but, yes, the zebra is purple and white:-)

Purple Dino Valentine

Got all of my groceries this morning and filled up my car. Salt and shovels ready and a list of activities for the kids ready. The big snow is coming tonight and I think I'm prepared for a week of being shut in instead of one day. I was recalling when we were off of school in '79 for over a week because there was so much snow. I think I need to find those pics and post with whatever the kids do in the snow tomorrow.
Here is my entry for three challenges. Cricut Cardz required a Valentine's Day card for a child, Crop Stop wanted us to emboss with folders or stylus in at least two different patterns, and Paper Playtime was an anything goes challenge. I knew I wanted to do a card for my son to put in his lunch box but, when I saw Crop Stops challenge I knew I had to do the T-rex from Create A Critter (just can't get away from this cart). I was able to use folders that I haven't used yet. I purchased them because I knew they would be great patterns for animals. The background you'll recognize as Traffic Jam. I used Tiny Mosaic and Tiny Bubbles on the dino. I couldn't find the exact sentiment I wanted to I used two stamps from Scrappy Moms, the word I wanted from each and stamped onto cs. It took a lot of restraint not to "bling" it up with Stickles or ribbon. My son wouldn't be too happy about that.

Purple Poodle

Do you sense a theme here at my blog? :-) Anyway, I had all the intentions of getting this card done well before the challenge deadline but, here we are 2 hours 'til the cut-off. I was in such a big hurry that I forgot to stamp my CS before I embossed it - this is what happens crafters:-/ My poodle is, of course, from Create A Critter cart. I found a challenge that specifically said to use CAC so I had to enter it, Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge -CCCC for short.

Whale Done! for Tacky Tuesday Challenge

My 6 month old is helping me type my blog today. He doesn't have a long attention span so I need to be a quick one finger typist. I came across a new challenge (new to me) on September Ninth's blog called Tacky Tuesday. She has it linked to a FB group which I really like because I can see everyone's entries as they post. We have to use the whale from the CAC cart. Mine is purple, of course, with some embossing and Stickles.

Paper Playtime Challenge

"If I had more time I'd use a different cart.... " I hear myself saying over and over. I'm not usually the "cutesy" type but I just love this darn Create a Critter cart! It's so quick and easy to use. I should post some of my altered books so you can see I'm more into the "grunge" look. So here is my entry for this weeks Paper Playtime Challenge. EIEIO was the theme.. I just had to do the cow. Not too creative I know but like I said, I don't have much time these days.

Momo's Tuesday Challenge

I knew exactly what I wanted to do when I saw Momo's Tuesday challenge. Black, White and ANY color? Really!? And of course I love penguins and I can't get away from that darn wonderful Create a Critter cart so naturally... A purple penguin:-) My 8 week old even slept an hour this afternoon so I could make the card AND upload it! I think he's making progress Ü

Paper Cutz Challenge #53

Well, this was a no brainer! Paper Cutz Challenge was to make a card, LO or craft project using a digital, hand stamped or Cricut cut image of a monkey, skunk, squirrel or hedgehog and any colors we'd like. I just love the Create A Critter cart so needless to say I used the hedgehog for this challenge:-) I also needed a birthday card for a little girl who's party my son is attending this weekend. I used the stamped wording from My Pink Stamper's Punnylicious set. I wrote "...about your birthday" on the inside in order to make it a birthday card.

Momo's Tuesday Challenge

This is my entry for this week's Tuesday Challenge at http://madebymomo.blogspot.com . This week's theme was Flower Shower. I used two carts for this card, Create A Critter for the umbrella and Sugar and Spice for the flower button.

Momo's Tuesday Challenge

I'm definitely slowing down on these challenges. This carpel tunnel is getting worse. Ugh! Dr. says it should go away after the baby is here. I hope so! I'm lovin' these challenges toooooo much! This is my entry for Momo's Tues challenge "Spots and Dots". I couldn't decide on the paper/cardstock. There are so many! I was excited to use the Create a Critter cart again. I love it. I think my next purchase is going to be the faces for these critters from Peachy Keen.
