Precious Little Baby

Hello fellow crafters and happy Tuesday to you! I needed a little crafting therapy today so I made this sweet little card for Bitten By The Bug 2's Little Boy Blue challenge. I used the Hey Diddle Diddle Imagine cartridge along with some hand dyed ribbon and twine. I am just loving Kimberly's My Craft Spot's tiny tags stamp and die sets. Sometimes you don't have enough space on a card for a larger stamped sentiment so this set helps solve that problem. They are the perfect sayings in the perfect size.

You're So Sweet!

Wow! How a week sure does fly by when there's a sick little person at home. Even though each day seemed endless, here it is Thursday already. I ended up dusting off my poor neglected Gypsy to create today's card. I've been using CCR so much lately because I can use it on my iMac which makes everything easier to see. But, my Gypsy comes in handy sitting next to my little guy while Blue's Clues is on:-)

I used the Walk in My Garden cart along with the dies and sentiment stamp from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags set. I added a few Prima flowers with tiny brads and a little Distress Stickles.

Follow Your Dreams

Welcome to my blog:-) I made this darling card for this weeks Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge. I wasn't so sure I was going to be able to enter this week because I didn't think I had a cartridge with a hot air balloon on it. Thank goodness for My Cut Search because it located one on a cart that I have. I didn't even realize there was a hot air balloon on the Enjoy The Seasons cart.

My sentiment was too big for the banner portion of the image, so I printed and cut the layers separately. This allowed me to arrange the images so I could accommodate my larger sentiment from My Creative Time's Inspiring Words set. The background pattern paper also came from Enjoy The Seasons. Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)

Country Life

I love the area we recently moved to. Even though we are in a subdivision, we are surrounded by farms. I love the wide open spaces, seeing all of the beautiful stars in the evening sky, watching the farmers tend to their crops, and listening to the roosters and chickens (as well as enjoying fresh eggs). So for this weeks challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2, I wanted to do a chicken card. Cricut has so many adorable chicken cuts, but I settled on using one from the Country Life cart. I also had fun coloring in the layers using Cricut Craft Room and the Imagine More cart.

The frame and photo corners were cut from the Imagine More cart and adhered to a cream base embossed with the Seeing Spots Cuttlebug folder. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Tweetie Hoo Puns set and stamped on a tag die from My Creative Time. I'm also entering this in the Die Cuttin Divas challenge. Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)

You Always Pop Up....

Well, the kids will officially be done with school tomorrow. My oldest was done last week and is currently touring Toronto Canada with her 8th grade class. My second child goes for a couple of hours tomorrow and then is officially a 5th grader! I just don't know when those two grew up so fast! Thank goodness I still have one in diapers to help me feel young;-)

I have a card to share with you today using one of my favorite Cricut carts, Kate's Kitchen. This is the cart that "inspired" me to buy the Imagine. I just love retro, kitchy images:-) I combined a few requirements into this card so I could submit it to Paper Playtime, Bitten By The Bug, and Die Cuttin' Divas blog challenges this week.

I popped up (pardon the pun) the toast with Action Wobbles that I purchased from my local stamp store, The Goose Barn. It's difficult to show in a picture, but when you touch the toast, it wobbles like a "bobble head". I used yellow Stickles for some "electric" sparkle and added two buttons on the bottom with DMC 350 floss. The sentiment is from the Pinch and a Dash set by Scrappy Moms.

Thanks for "poppin'" by:-) Have a creative day!

Lovin' from the Oven

Well, it finally looks like the rain has passed. We had big storms all day, so I procrastinated going to the grocery store. Now it's 10 pm... too late... oh darn;-) While I was waiting for the rain to end, I decided to "whip up" a challenge card. This one is for Bitten By The Bug 2. We are supposed to use the pie from the PPDU cart. I knew right away I wanted to try a shaped card. I welded the two pies on my Gypsy and hid all of the inside cuts. I copied the pie two more times so I could cut the "crust" and the "tin". I snipped away the bottom of the "crust" and adhered it to the "tin" after embossing. I used a cherry cut but I don't remember which cart:-( I cut it twice so I could do a brown stem. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms A Pinch and A Dash.

That Takes The Cake

Welcome back crafting friends:-) My DH took the 13 mo for a walk this afternoon so I took advantage of the quiet time and whipped up a sweet card for a couple of challenges. Both Bitten By The Bug 2 and Die Cuttin' Divas wanted the Sweet Treats cart used. I love this cart. Although, every time I use it, I have the urge to eat ice cream. I have re-organized all of my card stock so I can't say exactly where the solids came from. The patterned is DCWV All About Girls stack. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Starfish birthday card

Now that the big birthday party is over and clean-up is done, I am back to my craft room. Oh my! Did I leave this mess?;-) Well, I'll just leave cleaning this room for another time. For now, I need to create!

This card is for Birthday Sundaes, Bitten By The Bug 2, and Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges. I used the Life Is A Beach cart for the starfish and a background stamp from Stampin' Up. The cardstock is from DCWV Baby Boy Stack & Stampin' Up. I also used twine from The Twinery, starfish charm from Blue Moon Beads, and a sentiment from the S/U Teeny Tiny Wishes set. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Heartfelt Thanks

I sure must like working under pressure (not) because I'm always scrambling to get challenge cards uploaded before the deadline. So, short and sweet, the cut is from Freshly Picked, the patterned CS is DCWV Whimsy stack & the solid is S/U. The sentiment is MPS Simply Sweet Occasions. A little embossing, ribbon, buttons, and twine and I'm finally finished. Look for my card at the Simply Sunday Challege on the Getting Cricky blog and the Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge. Shabby Celebration

Well, it's definitely a wet Wednesday around here! And it looks like there is more coming. I don't ever remember having so much rain for such a long period of time. Good for the farmers, I guess:-)

After walking my sick 10 mo around last night until he fell asleep, I was too tired to finish my card for the Cricut Cardz challenge. I'll still need to finish it because it if for my FIL bday June 2. For now, I spent the morning making a card for three challenges, Birthday Sundaes - pearls and lace, Bitten By The Bug 2 - Floral Embellishment's bird, and Fantabulous Cricut - blue and a cloud. I used the Hanna Montana bird because I don't have the Floral Emb. cart. I stamped the background with Stampin' Up's Fine Lace BG stamp and the clouds were cut from the Indie Art cart. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)
