Campin' and Relaxin'

After finally getting my Imagine to talk nicely with CCR, I was able to print and cut out this cute little venue from the Enjoy The Seasons Cricut cartridge. I printed and cut the scene once and then printed and cut the trees, fire, and tent separately so I could pop them up for a little dimension. I found some scrap ribbon that I thought looked nice as a transition between the patterned card stock and, of course, needed to add some Stickles to the fire for a little sparkle. I used this card for the Paper Shelter, Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog, My Craft Spot, Terrific Tuesday, Celebrate The Occasion, Cardz TV, and Die Cuttin' Divas challenges. It sure feels good to be making challenge cards again. That darned thing called "Life" interrupted my crafting time;-) This card is for Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge. I was so excited that one of the carts was Nifty Fifties - my favorite! I was bummed to notice I didn't have their A Pinch And A Dash stamp set:-( I swear I did when I started this card, but I soon will:-) Looks like it shipped yesterday. Sweet Birthday Wishes

I'm not sure where you live, but here in Illinois it's some wacky weather. I know I start out talking about the weather on my blog all of the time, but it is wacky! Last week it was in the 90's, this week it's been in the upper 60's and rainy. Next week it is supposed to be back in the 90's again. These 30 degree swings make my laundry room pile up!

Since it was too icky to be out today I was able to get another challenge card done. This one is for Crop Stop, Birthday Sundaes, Terrific Tuesday, and Wacky Wednesday challenges. The cart is Sweet Treats for the Terrific Tuesday requirement. I got a little emboss happy for the other challenge requirements:-) The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms "Sweet Somethings" set. It seems like I've used this title before... Hmmm, I wonder if it could mean something;-)

I saw this interesting technique at Splitcoaststampers.com and thought I'd try it out with a challenge card. I used the flip flop cut from Life is a Beach cart, baker's twine from The Twinery, Prima flowers, CS from DCWV Mod-Retro stack, brads from S/U, and, of course, Stickles!This card is for Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge, Penny's Challenges, Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge, Paper Cutz challenge, and Simply Sunday.

Happy Mother's Day

Trying not to let these past three weeks of rain get me down, I decided to try and get a card done for a few challenges. This entry is for the Cricut Cardz Mother's Day challenge, The Fantabulous Cricut Mom's the word challenge, and today's Scrappy Mom's Terrific Tuesday Paisley challenge. I was disappointed I couldn't find the right ribbon for my card but I need to submit it tonight for Cricut Cardz. If Friends Were Flowers...

Surprised to wake up to snow this morning! Spring Break is not starting off on a good weather note. I hope the kids have a least a few nice days in the 60's before they go back to school (not sure if I can handle them being inside all week either;-) My mission this week is to unpack the rest of the boxes in the basement. Wish me luck! :-)

Ouch! Feel Better Soon!

I had so much fun Saturday! An all day crop at my son's school. I was able to work on a birthday gift for my best friend. It's a perpetual birthday calendar I bought from Stampin' Up. I didn't get it all done but, I have until next Friday. I didn't work on any challenge cards so now I'm scrambling to get them submitted. This card is for the Terrific Tuesday Blog Challenge which ends tonight. Yikes! Better upload this one ASAP!

Playtime

A quick download to my blog before we road trip to Peoria. Our high school made it to the state basketball semi-finals! I'll be cramming 6 kids and one extra adult in my van in a few hours for a three hour trip south. We're playing a tough team so cross your fingers:-) For the Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge I used the B is for Boy Lite cart and Nate's ABC's. I sure wish I had these two carts when I started my baby's 8x8 month-by-month scrapbook. I'm definitely going to use it on the rest of the pages.
