Kiss The Cook FCCB Challenge

This week's Fantabulous Cricut challenge is to create a project with your Cricut that includes a recipe. Even more fun, make the recipe and show us the finished goodness with your Cricut project!

I made a recipe holder I saw on Pinterest. It was super easy and came out sooo cute! I found a large wooden clothespin that was already painted, cut a strip of cardstock printed from my Imagine Kate's Kitchen cartridge, and adhered it with some Mod Podge. I used the Accent Essentials cart to cut various sized flowers from some scrap October Afternoon Campfire patterened card stock. I printed the word "RECIPE"  on a piece of DCWV Mod Retro cardstock and made it into a tag. I attached all of my elements, including a vintage button purchased from Etsy, to the clip after it had dried thoroughly. I then printed out a recipe card from the Kate's Kitchen Imagine cartridge. After a little trial and error using MS Excel, I fit the recipe onto the card using my inkjet printer.

Ready for crisped bread and crackers!

Wedding Bliss

Today's challenge is to create a project for a special couple for a wedding or anniversary. Please stop by the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to get all of the details so you can play along.

For my project, I utilized Cricut Craft Room to make two different sized labels from the Accent Essentials Cricut Cart. I sized one label at 5", copied and pasted it, then resized it a little bigger. The couple came from The Good Old Days Imagine cartridge. I printed the main image as well as just the couple so I could "pop" them up for added dimension.

I have a little trick for making coordinating patterned card stock that doesn't come with the cartridge. Find an image with a patterned background you like, separate the layers in CCR, delete all of the images except the patterned one, make it a little larger than the cut you need, then do a Print Only. Reinsert the card stock and do a Cut Only of the image you want. I did this for the bottom layer. The off white layer was embossed using the Sizzix Small Dots Texturz Plate.

I also added some "antiqued" white seam binding and a little tag with the perfect sentiment from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags set. Oh, and yes, can't forget a little Stickles:-)

Summer in December

Today's theme at Erica's Cricut Craftroom is all about bringing the warmth to December. For my card I used the Life Is A Beach and Accent Essentials cartridges. I cut the card out at 5" and the flip flops at 3". I used some scrap card stock from DCWV The Colorful Life and some scrap patterned paper from The Paper Studio's a day at the Beach. I added some paper flowers and brads to embellish the flip flops and card. I stamped the sentiment from My Creative Time's Have Fun In The Sun set and cut a tag shape around it. After punching a whole in the tag, I threaded some Basic Grey fibers.

Welcome to another Card Creating Sunday at My Cricut Craftroom. My DT project for today was inspired by the recent weather we've had here. It's been very cold and has even snowed a couple of times! I used one of my favorite carts, Sesame Street Seasons for the cup of cocoa and Accent Essentials for the little heart. I used the hide contour feature on my Gypsy to take off the "Hot" wording so I could add this cute little heart to go along with the Scrappy Moms sentiment. I heat embossed the sentiment in white so it would show up against the dark brown CS. I dry embossed a scrap of red CS with the D'vine Swirl Cuttlebug folder and wrapped brown baker's twine around it. I layered all the pieces onto an A6 sized Early Espresso CS from Stampin' Up.

Card Creating Sunday DT card

Good Sunday morning to all of you:-) Today I have made a birthday card for Erica's Card Creating Sunday at My Cricut Craft Room. I used the Accent Essentials cartridge to cut the flower. I sized the first layer to fit on an A2 sized card. I copied and pasted the flower and reduced the size by 1/2". I did this a second time so I could have a three layer flower. Next, I stamped Emma's Happy Birthday sentiment all over the petals on the first and third layers. I curled the petals with a pencil by simply sliding the paper across the pencil. I used a button and some baker's twine for the center and adhered each layer with Dimensionals. I used Emma's new Curly Label die and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from My Creative Time's Many Greetings set.
