Starfish birthday card

Now that the big birthday party is over and clean-up is done, I am back to my craft room. Oh my! Did I leave this mess?;-) Well, I'll just leave cleaning this room for another time. For now, I need to create!

This card is for Birthday Sundaes, Bitten By The Bug 2, and Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges. I used the Life Is A Beach cart for the starfish and a background stamp from Stampin' Up. The cardstock is from DCWV Baby Boy Stack & Stampin' Up. I also used twine from The Twinery, starfish charm from Blue Moon Beads, and a sentiment from the S/U Teeny Tiny Wishes set. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Relax

It seems like I've used this title before... Hmmm, I wonder if it could mean something;-)

I saw this interesting technique at Splitcoaststampers.com and thought I'd try it out with a challenge card. I used the flip flop cut from Life is a Beach cart, baker's twine from The Twinery, Prima flowers, CS from DCWV Mod-Retro stack, brads from S/U, and, of course, Stickles! This card is for Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge, Penny's Challenges, Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge, Paper Cutz challenge, and Simply Sunday.

Thanks for stopping by! If you are new to my site I encourage you to become a follower and let me know you are new so I can follow you, too:-) If you use Facebook, please click on my FB link on the left and "like" my page. Thanks again and have a creative day:-)

Welcome Home

The current historical event inspired this card for Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge, Welcome Home. I think it's entirely appropriate for what I pray will be taking place soon. I am always thinking of my friends with spouses in the military. I am so grateful to them for the sacrifices they make to protect my freedom (especially my freedom to craft:-). My brother was in the army years back and there was never a day that went by that I prayed for his safety. God Bless America and those who protect us! Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day!

Welcome Spring!

Okay, so it's not officially calendar spring but it was officially the first day of meteorological spring yesterday:-) Any month with a short name is spring to me! This card was quick and simple. I only had 1/2 hr yesterday to make it and I have about 5 minutes to upload it right now. This entry is for the Fantabulous Cricut Blog challenge which is for shaped cards and Penny's Paper-Crafty challenge which needed to be green. I used the shamrock from the Designer's Calendar cart and welded it with my Gypsy. The stamp is from Peachy Keen. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Simply Charmed Rainbow

Happy Friday to everyone! It's been a long overcast and foggy week so it was easy to find inspiration for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog challenge as well as Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge. I finally broke down and purchased the Simply Charmed cart at Joann Fabrics because they were on sale for $35. I usually wait until I can find them for around $20 or less but, another challenge I like to participate in required the use of this cart. I have been wanting it since it came out anyway. I have a new favorite cart now. Maybe I'll let my CAC rest for awhile:-) The sentiment is from MPS set "Faithful Sayings".
FCCB's challenge is to make project featuring our favorite seasonal weather. That would be Spring for me! So tired of cold and snow right now! PPCC wants us to use the inspiration we see in a picture of Noah's Ark with a rainbow she has on her blog.

Hearts A Flutter

This week's Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge is the theme "hearts a flutter". Momo's Tues/Wed Challenge this week requires the colors black, white, hot pink and a heart. Okay the hot pink is a stretch but let's see if I can get away with it;-) I used Hello Kitty Salutations, Textile embossing folder, and DCWV cs.
