Welcome to my blog:-) This weekend I am participating in My Cricut Craft Room's Recipe & Baking blog hop! If you're here because you are one of my super awesome loyal followers, then I'm going to redirect you to My Cricut Craft Room because I don't want you to miss out on all of this weekend's goodies:-) If you've come from Erica's blog then you are on the hop and on the right track!

My project for today is a recipe binder made using From My Kitchen cartridge. My BFF and I are always emailing recipes back and forth to each other that have been kid and hubby approved. I think both of our children were cut from the same mold - Picky! I got an idea for her Christmas gift this year (shhhhh!) to make a binder that she can print and store her recipes in. I purchased an inexpensive clear cover binder from Walmart (aka budget-concious crafters' store), some clear page protectors (keeps inkjet pages from getting "smudged"), and a ream of Georgia-Pacific white cardstock. For my color inspiration, I used some patterned card stock by American Crafts called Craft Fair. I purchased this awhile back from ScrapbookSteals.com. I made an 8 1/2 x 11 template on my Gypsy and started laying out all of my pages. I put some empty page protectors in between each section so my BFF can simply slip in a recipe she printed off her computer. After inserting these pics, I noticed that I took them before I put the tab dividers on each page. This way she can simply flip to whichever section she's interested in. I picked the tabs up at Walmart, also.

Thanks for checking out my project:-) Make sure you are a follower and then leave me a comment and let me know what your favorite Thanksgiving dish is. I'll be picking one lucky hopper to give this Preserves Cricut Cart to on Monday!

Your next stop is the super talented Wendy at Gilby's Craftster!

  40. Wow Tammy! What a fabulous recipe binder! Your friend is going to love this! Very thoughtful of you :) My favorite Thanksgiving dish... hmm... I would have to say the sweet potatoes my sister always makes - funny because I hated them when I was a kid! And at my in-laws house, it is the green bean casserole that my SIL makes! I know that might be cheating, but we have Thanksgiving twice so I figured it was fair.. kind of :)
