Proud To Be An American

Hello my fabulous crafting friends! I would like to share with you the card I made for Wacky Wednesday, My Sheri Crafts, Fantabulous Cricut, Die Cuttin' Divas, and Celebrate the Occasion challenges this week. I used Cricut Craft Room and my Imagine to print the patterned paper and the single layered cut image from the Summer Celebrations and Vintage Paper carts. I embossed the blue with the Cuttlebug Stars folder and added some Airmail twine above a "pinked" border. The tag die and sentiment are from My Creative Time.

Altered Comp Book

I'm so happy you are here today! I feel like I'm back in the crafting and blogging saddle. My scrap room is a mess again:-)!! A true sign of a creative genius, right?  Hee Hee - I can always pretend anyway.  Today I have an altered comp book for the Scrapalicious USA challenge. I love working with composition books because they allow for a little more creativity than a card and are not as intimidating as a two-page layout. This book is actually for a blogging friend's daughter who loves softball and the colors green and purple. Gotta love that girl:-)

I used a chipboard monogram from S/U and added Firefly Stickles to it. The card stock is from the The Paper Studio Safari Untamed pack. I stamped and embossed in black, baseballs from S/U's Good Sport set onto green CS. I also some baseball printed ribbon to some shaped paper clips.

Graduation Congrats!

Well, I can't believe it's the end of another school year. I think the older my kids get, the quicker the years go by. I still can't grasp that I will have a high-schooler in the fall! The card I made today is for the Fantabulous Cricut and Celebrate The Occasion challenges. I used the cap from Locker Talk and the sentiment from from MS All Occasions cake cartridges. I cut the cap out twice and layered the top mortar board section of one cut to the entire section of the other cut for some dimension. I did trim off the black tassel portion since I didn't need it. I cut the "Congrats" phrase from a printed sheet from the Imagine Vintage Papers cart. I embossed the Cranberry Crisp CS with the Cricut Houndstooth folder and stamped the card base with  S/U's Linen background stamp using S/U Cranberry Crisp ink.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend:-)

You Always Pop Up....

Well, the kids will officially be done with school tomorrow. My oldest was done last week and is currently touring Toronto Canada with her 8th grade class. My second child goes for a couple of hours tomorrow and then is officially a 5th grader! I just don't know when those two grew up so fast! Thank goodness I still have one in diapers to help me feel young;-)

I have a card to share with you today using one of my favorite Cricut carts, Kate's Kitchen. This is the cart that "inspired" me to buy the Imagine. I just love retro, kitchy images:-) I combined a few requirements into this card so I could submit it to Paper Playtime, Bitten By The Bug, and Die Cuttin' Divas blog challenges this week.

I popped up (pardon the pun) the toast with Action Wobbles that I purchased from my local stamp store, The Goose Barn. It's difficult to show in a picture, but when you touch the toast, it wobbles like a "bobble head". I used yellow Stickles for some "electric" sparkle and added two buttons on the bottom with DMC 350 floss. The sentiment is from the Pinch and a Dash set by Scrappy Moms.

Thanks for "poppin'" by:-) Have a creative day!

Digi DVD Covers

Happy Monday to all of you! I want to share with you a project I have been working on for quite some time. I rescued some old family films from my in-laws that were in a shoe box in their attic. I took all of the reels to Costco and had them transfer the film to DVD. The DVD's came back with an unexciting cover - Costco logo and a few "thumbnails" of the video clips. I got this fab idea to try and use My Memories Suite digital scrapbooking software to customize the covers. I played around with the sizing and placement and come up with a nice template design. Using My Memories Suite made it much easier to print multiple pages of the same design cover. Once I had my design set, all I had to do was change the titles. I made four sets of nine DVD's, one for all of the in-laws.  I was also able to make the labels for the DVD's, too. These took a little more time to get the layout right. I used Avery Ink Jet CD labels to print the design on.

I had so much fun doing these that I made a few more for some iMovies I made from my digital family videos.

If you think you would be interested in purchasing My Memories Suite software, please use my code towards the top right and save $10. Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)

Surprise!

Hey {snicker, snicker}, just wanted to get your attention:-) I know I have been AWOL:-(  I had all of the best intentions of posting at least once a week between all of my kids' activities. Obviously, that didn't happen. I was able to get a card done for a challenge this week. I've been experimenting with using Cricut Craftroom and my Imagine. It's a little temperamental and takes more time than I'd like but, Provocraft has assured me they are continually working out the "kinks". I did suggest they work on an app for the iPad, so I can design from my car while waiting for whoever during whatever event; send it magically to my Imagine at home where it automatically takes the card stock, adheres it to the mat, and prints and cuts; so whenever I get home I can run gleefully to my craft room and put together my awaiting cuts:-) I would SO get the "Super Multi-tasking Mom Award" if I could do that:-)

Enough with the silliness, here is my birthday card I made for Erica's card sketch challenge at My Cricut Craft Room.  I used the Imagine More cartridge for the images and the Accent Essentials cart for the card shape. I popped up a second image of the bird for a little dimension as well as the patterned square. The brads are from Stampin' Up as well as the corner punch. The sentiment came from My Pink Stamper's Tweetie Hoo Puns set.
