Welcome to Theme Day Thursday at My Cricut Craftroom! Today is "Laundry" day:-) I used the Wall Decor and More and the Gypsy Font cartridges to enhance this 8 x 8 layout for my son's "First Year" scrapbook. The patterned cardstock is Itsy Bitsty Baby Boy stack from K & Company.

I remember seeing awhile back that someone used this cut for a baby layout and thought that was a great idea. This stack has a cute little "onsie" pattern which I thought would work perfectly with the laundry line cut. I will warn you though, cutting this image this small, you will need a very sharp blade. I had to cut the top layer a couple of times to get it looking somewhat acceptable.

Happy Belated Birthday, Charity!

I'm not sure if this qualifies for a Monday Musings, but I am begging all of my card swap buddies that had birthdays in November and December HUGE forgiveness on late cards! I know this sounds cliché, but I had some family issues right after Thanksgiving that set me back both emotionally and organizationally. If you follow my blog you know what I'm talking about. You also know that it's a new year with new resolutions:-) So, I'm catching up with my swaps this month and will hopefully stay caught up.

This card I made for one of my first blog followers, Charity from the bookin' room. Her birthday was on Nov. 28th and I just wasn't prepared. I emailed her and BEGGED for forgiveness:-) I told her I'm just extending her birthday celebration a little.

My inspiration sketch came from Page Maps. The patterned cardstock is from echo park's "Be Mine" paper pad. I punched three 1 1/4" circles and popped them up on the bottom. I wrapped some "Strawberry Cupcake" baker's twine from Trendy Twine around a one inch strip of CS. I embossed the 3-3/4" square vanilla CS with "Swiss DotsCuttlebug embossing folder and I stamped the sentiment from PTI's "Birthday Basics" set with S/U "Sahara Sand". I used "Pumice Stone" Distress Inks around the edges of the CS.

Now, if you'd help me out, please go over to Charity's Blog and wish her a belated birthday:-) Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)

It's time again for Erica's ultra fun 100 cart blog hop! If you're here because you are one of my super awesome loyal followers, then I'm going to redirect you to My Cricut Craft Room because I don't want you to miss out on all of this weekend's goodies:-) If you've come from Heather's blog then you are on the right track!

My first project is a card I made by using the Nifty Fifties cartridge - one of my favorites! I layered the toaster cut from page 37 onto Basic Grey's "Nook & Pantry" cardstock. I embellished the card stock with a strip of felt ric-rac and added the perfect sentiment from Scrappy Moms' "A Pinch an a Dash" set. The tag die is from My Creative Time.

I made these little favors for my friend who is expecting anytime now. Yes, she is having a boy! I used the favor box cut on page 69 from the Life is a Party cartridge and the "B" layer. Tied it up with some PTI (Paper Trey Ink) ribbon and whola - quick and cute party favors!

I also made this self-adhesive note holder by using an 4" x 6" acrylic frame. I will be honest, I had everything put together and couldn't find a 5" x 7" frame, so I had to cut down the "Snow Buddies" patterned paper from reminisce and use a 4" x 6" acrylic frame and a smaller self-adhesive note pad. I used Black Soot Distressed Stickles on the "coal buttons" and stamped the scarf with some snow flakes from Stampin' Up's "Snow Flurries" set. The adorable sentiment is from Pink By Design's "Winter Fun" set which I curved onto my acrylic block before I stamped it:-)

Now for the goodies:-) Please leave a comment on THIS post and let me know what one of your New Years resolutions are for a chance to win these crafting goodies!

Thanks for hopping by:-) Your next stop is the fabulously creative Suzy! If you think you missed someone the hop list is below.

Scrapbook Friday

Today is Scrapbook Friday at My Cricut Craftroom and it's all about Disney! I think everyday should be Scrapbook Disney so I can get all of my scrapbook pages caught up:-) This two page layout is actually fairly simple. Years ago when I took scrapbook classes at a local store (which is no longer open - retired) I was taught to keep the pages simple for two reasons; 1) you want the picture(s) to be center stage and 2) you get more pages done quicker:-) I used the Mickey Font cartridge and cut out the letters at 2 1/2" along with each letter's shadow. The patterned paper and cardstock is from my Disney stash that I have been collecting. The empty black box is for my "journaling".

Theme Day Thursday

Welcome to the first Theme Day Thursday of the year over at My Cricut Craftroom! Today's Theme is Baby Boy! This is one of the two page layouts I made for my son's 8 x 8 First Year scrapbook. I cut the stroller from the Stretch Your Imagination cart at 7" and layered onto K & Company's "Itsy Bitsy Baby Boy" cardstock along with some coordinating solid CS. The number and letters are cut at 2" from the Pooh Font cart. I also used a Martha Stewart border punch, Prima paper flowers, and Stickles.
