Welcome to my first Monday Musings post. Today I'd like to share with you an altered pail that I made for a swap. I thought it was perfect for today's post. It started out a plain $1 metal pail from Target. I used black, orange, and yellow alcohol inks to paint the exposed metal portions. I adhered vintage halloween cut-outs that I purchased from The Vintage Workshop. Some of the embellishments I picked up at tag sales or antique stores, and others from my local party supply store. I tied a lot of ribbons and fibers to the handle, along with an altered shipping tag.

Card Creating Sunday

Welcome to my blog this fine Sunday:-) I finally used a fun stamp set I just had to have from Pink By Design, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. I love all of these sentiments. Don't be surprised if you start seeing me use them a lot:-) So, for today's Card Creating Sunday at My Cricut Craft Room, I used the glasses from the Simply Charmed cart to go along with one of the sentiments. I trimmed off the bubbles to make them look more like wine glasses and stamped cute little Peachy Keen Critter Faces instead of using the original cut faces. I layered the pair with foam adhesive to patterned cardstock from PTI (Papertrey Ink) and added ribbon and mini brads.

Clean and Simple

Happy Wednesday to all of you. Today is Would You Ever Guess Wednesday at My Cricut Craftroom. My DT project is a clean and simple card made from a Cricut Cake cartridge called Cake Basics. This cart actually comes with the Cricut Cake machine and is loaded with all types of fabulous images. It has several borders, filigrees, florals, shapes, frames, words. It is a great cart for cutting out images for projects that require limited layers like fabric crafts or stenciling. I used DCWV Eco Stack along with a little ribbon from Stampin' Up to create this all occasion card.

Happy Birthday!

For today's Card Creating Sunday, I made this fun birthday card that I will be sending out this month.

Once again, I had an idea in my head of what I wanted to make but, it didn't happen - sort of. I wanted to use an adorable stamp set I purchased from Pink By Design called "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" along with a lion cut from Nate's ABCs. Well, I put all of my "wild" printed cardstocks together and cut out the lion.  Ooops! I didn't notice that the designer left an opening in the mane for part of a cattail! :-(   As I scanned through my booklets looking for an animal that I could use, I noticed that Zoo Balloo had a "Happy Birthday" cut that I thought would work out rather well. I rearranged some of my printed cs and added the "Happy Birthday" cut. I added some Stickles to bling up the words and some ribbon for extra color and texture.

For A New Mother

Happy Friday my crafting friends! Today is my last DT post for Just Wordz. I have had so much fun using Kimberly's stamps. I can't wait to see what her new team comes up with next week for the hop.

For today's project I made a sweet card using the Nursery Rhymes Cricut cartridge. I layered the cut on top of a Spellbinders die cut which I embossed with the Flourish impression plate from Stampin' Up. I brayered a little ink on top so the embossed portion would stand out. I layered some paper petals and tied them together with a button and bakers twine.

Theme Day Thursday

Welcome back to all of my fabulous followers! Today I have a project to share with you for Theme Day Thursday at My Cricut Craft Room. I used my Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge to make this tiny little winter scene.

I cut the #5 house at 4 inches and the trees at three. I painted "snow" on the roof and trees with white acrylic paint then sprinkled some Dazzling Diamonds from Stampin' Up for a little shimmer. I glued the house and trees to a circle disc I cut out free hand to set inside the jar. I inserted an electric tealight under the house and sprinkled fake snow to fill up the bottom and cover the base. As I am looking at the pic I see I forgot to turn the light on so you can see it glowing from the inside.
