Aloha!

Have you ever started with an idea for a card or layout and ended up somewhere completely different? Well, my inspiration began with a patterned cardstock from the Animal Crackers Stack. The card is for the Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge,  Life's a Beach. I saw the cute lizard/salamander (what is the difference between the two?) and wanted to use it. After trying to match and coordinate 50 different shades of green then running to Hobby Lobby for more shades, I ended up losing my focus on what I originally wanted to do. After all of that  I realized I didn't have a sentiment stamp that I thought I had. So, the card is a little more "cluttered" than I like and the sentiment is a little out of scale. At lease now I know I need to start looking for stamp sets with lizard puns:-) I also submitted this card to Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge. She required the use of an older cart and the color green. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Dino-Mite!

I am enjoying this wonderful spring weather we're having here in the Midwest. The forecast is for more 60's and possibly 70's. I can't wait for the color to start popping out:-)
This card is my entry on the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. Their Monday challenge is to use green and gold on a square card. While I was using the Boys Will Be Boys cart I noticed this dino had a square background. I welded two together to make it into a card. Embossed the green and used a metallic cs for the spines. The sentiment is from MPS stamped with white craft ink. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Thanksssssssssss!

Wow! I can't believe it's the middle of March already. It will be so nice when we can start landscaping the yard. It was covered with snow for so long I forgot that it's all mud out there.
This entry is for the Wacky Wednesday Challenge, purple, green, and yellow. Whew! Got that yellow in there. (I almost forgot:-) I used the snake from my Boys Will Be Boys cart and embossed it with the Mesh cuttlebug folder. The sentiment is from MPS Even More Punny-licious set. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day!

Playtime

A quick download to my blog before we road trip to Peoria. Our high school made it to the state basketball semi-finals! I'll be cramming 6 kids and one extra adult in my van in a few hours for a three hour trip south. We're playing a tough team so cross your fingers:-) For the Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge I used the B is for Boy Lite cart and Nate's ABC's. I sure wish I had these two carts when I started my baby's 8x8 month-by-month scrapbook. I'm definitely going to use it on the rest of the pages.

Merry Christmas

No, I'm not losing it, or maybe I am. It was snowing here this morning. Not sure if mother nature knows it's supposed to be Spring;-) Anyway, I actually was able to get a card done this morning that covers three challenges. Is that cheating? The first thing I thought of was a Christmas tree when I saw the requirements for the Fantabulous Cricut  and Cricut Cartridge Chaos challenges (both Monday challenges). FCCB wants us to use a tree and CCCC is having us use the SYI cart. Then this morning the Cricut Cardz challenge asked us to do a 9 x 4 card. Well, this just all fit together so nicely I couldn't pass it up. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day!

It's Your Bird-Day!

I just love Spring! I am so ready for color. For MPS's (My Pink Stamper) feathered friends challenge I used the Simply Charmed cart again. I just can't help it. All of the images are so adorable. I think what I need to do on my next challenge is close my eyes, touch a cart, and that's the one I have to use:-) Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day!

Welcome Spring!

Okay, so it's not officially calendar spring but it was officially the first day of meteorological spring yesterday:-) Any month with a short name is spring to me! This card was quick and simple. I only had 1/2 hr yesterday to make it and I have about 5 minutes to upload it right now. This entry is for the Fantabulous Cricut Blog challenge which is for shaped cards and Penny's Paper-Crafty challenge which needed to be green. I used the shamrock from the Designer's Calendar cart and welded it with my Gypsy. The stamp is from Peachy Keen. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)
