Have A Spooky Day

I anticipate today to be crazy! One of our moving trucks are coming, it's raining, and the little ghosts and goblins will be out in force. I miss decorating for halloween:-( I did, however, get this cute little tag set done.

Altered Paint Palette

Hello crafting friends:-) Today I would like to share with you this fun mixed media project I did at a class at The Little Blue House this month. I forgot how much fun it is to play with paint, and stencils, and molding paste. I started with a plain wooden paint palette and Mod Podged some patterned card stock and dictionary pages. Next, I stenciled images with molding paste. After that was dry, I adhered some paint brushes and spritzed some distress inks. I embellished the remaining with a painted metal flower, metal hook with an altered tag, distressed flowers and ribbon, and "scrabble tiles". I added some pictures of a few of my crafting idols. I will be displaying somewhere in my new craft space to keep me inspired.

Trick Or Treat

Hello crafters! Today I wanted to share this adorable jar I made at The Little Blue House a few days ago. This little guy was done using a wooden egg, old pages from a book, and Mod Podge. I painted and decorated it and adhered it to what looks like a large bottle cap. The base was a pre-made wood disk that I painted. The glass vase was adhered to the wood base with E6000. The lid is actually interchangeable. I made one for Thanksgiving that I'll share next month.

Jill-O-Lantern Mixed Media

The fall weather has finally arrived here in Texas. It was nice to wake up to temps in the 60's F. I made this adorable mixed media on canvas at The Little Blue House here in Keller.

I started by mod podging papers to a pre-made canvas frame. Once all of the papers were dry, I added paint with an old credit card. Next, I used some stencils and white paint. "Jill" was assembled onto the canvas with mod podge as well as her fabric dress and arms. The "spooky" words were stenciled in black and the remaining objects were glued on. Such a fun day! Can't wait to do another class.
