You're My Pot of Gold!

Hello creative friends! Today I would like to share with you a card I made for a few challenges. I used the free St Patricks Day cut from Cricut Craftroom. I think this is my favorite "pot o gold" cut. I love the layers and the inset clover/shamrock. I embellished the gold coins with Stickles (of course) as well as the "sparkles". The circle layer is dry embossed with Cuttlebug's Argyle folder and the green layer is  embossed with Darice's St Patrick's folder. I used a sentiment stamp from Scrappy Moms' Spring Fling set.

Challenges

Bitten by the Bug (St Patrick's Day)

Cuttin' and Stampin' (St Pats/ Lucky)

Die Cuttin' Divas (Luck of the Irish)

Exploring Cricut (Shamrock)

UFO quilt (doona)

Yeah! I finally finished my quilt (or doona as they call it here) that was started roughly 5 years ago:-P Yes, I bought this fabulous kit from a cute quilt store in Bayfield, Wisconsin while on vacation, pieced it together, and had a very talented lady from church machine quilt it. I ended up storing it in my craft room since my carpal tunnel from pregnancy made it too hard to sew the binding on. My hands still aren't 100%, but good enough that I was able to finish the binding last week.  The rain here was relentless - started the weekend of my big scrap retreat and let up until the middle of last week!  So, I sewed about 1/8 of binding a day and now it's done! I'll be taking it to the cleaners here since the washers and dryers in Sydney are about doll house sized (okay, a little exaggeration).  I'll keep it stored until I get back to the states. Definitely don't need to use it here in Sydney!

You Make Me Smile

G'day crafters! Can you tell I'm settling into this Aussie lingo;-) Still haven't lived here long enough to leave the hard Chicago accent behind,  but I catch myself using quite a bit of Aussie slang when I talk.

Today I "whipped" up a card for a few challenges. Couldn't resist when I saw the Cupcake Inspirations challenge. Had to use my new kit stamps! I also used Simon Says Stamp! Card Exchanging Friends stamp and die set, Echo Park Country Drive paper pad, Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder, thread, Wink of Stella.

Challenges Entered

Cupcake Inspirations (butterflies)

Sweet Sunday (sketch)

Sketchy Colors ( Turquoise, White, Yellow)

That Craft Place (anything)

March Card Kit cards

G'day crafters!

Here are a few cards I made from Catchy Crafts March kit. There are sections on some of the cards I left unfinished so I could add a banner/tag sentiment later. I still have so much leftover from the kit I could make some extras. So, you may see some of the similar stamps and cs on some challenge cards shortly:-) The card stock is from the DCWV Lemon Flower stack and the stamps are from jillibean soup chilled cucumber soup set. The heart  in the "Love you more" stamp is colored in with green marker, Wink of Stella, and Glossy Accents. This helps to add sparkle and dimension to a relatively flat card.
