BFF Birthday Card

Good Morning creative friends! I have been sooo busy Spring cleaning the last few weeks. I can't believe how long it's been since my last post. I've been finding soooo many UFO's (unfinished objects - although I think their called something else nowadays). I kind of got off of the paper crafting path and have been working on a lot of partially started or bought-and-not-started cross-stitch, sewing, and quilting projects. These don't go as quickly as cards or scrapbooks so I haven't had anything to post:-( No instant gratification either;-)

I did manage to get a card made for my BFF, Janet. I saw a wall art piece somewhere and sketched it on my iPad (used a fabulous app called Penultimate). I made it into this card for her. I also made a table runner. She just loves  sewing and craft projects but is the type of person that does not want to take time to learn or make them. She super appreciates all of the time and hard work that goes into these crafting projects, so I have no problem making things for her that take time.

I used the patterned card stock from Echo Park's Victoria Gardens card stock pad, a 1 1/4" circle punch,  border and tag  punches from Stampin' Up, baker's twine, Papertrey Ink sentiment, K & Co embellishments. I liked how the original artist layered the circles like "fish scales". I thought this was a great way to collage some scrap pieces.

This is the table runner she has been pestering me to make for her. Piecing fabric takes waaaayyy more time than paper;-)

Thanks for stopping by! Off to do some more Spring Cleaning! Have a creative day:-)

  2. I just sat down to take a break from cleaning and saw your post :-) The card is beautiful, but that runner is a work of art!! How sweet of you to make that for her :-)
