Barabara's 50th Birthday Luau Blog Hop

Welcome to Barbara's 50th Birthday Luau Blog Hop! If you came here from Ashley's blog then you are on the right track:-) If not, you may want to start at Barbara's blog so you don't miss any goodies:-)

I had so much fun with my project. I love making word books. They are the reason I originally bought my first Cricut Expression. I was at a weekend crop a few years back and saw a word book a lady had made using Design Studio and her Expression. I knew right away the tons of gifts I could make! For this album I used the Life's A Beach cart for the letters and welded them to a square shape from Accent Essentials. I used The Paper Studio's paper and coordinating ribbon. I also added some Prima flowers with brads and raffia. The pics are from vacation in Kauai.

Now for the really fun stuff... Hop Candy! Yippee!! ... And of course, it's all purple! Simply become a follower and leave a comment that you did (or already are) along with your email addy or a way to contact you if you should win. I'll be using Random.org to pick a winner after the hop is over.

Your next stop is the über talented Sherry at Patterns By Sher. I've also listed the line-up below in case you get lost along the way:-) Thanks for "hopping" by! Have a creative day:-)

Forgive Me.... I forgot your birthday!

For today's Just Wordz DT card I used Nate's ABC's cart. The snail and grass are one of the accessory buttons. There are some super cute images that aren't even the main cuts! I also used a background stamp from S/U as well as the solid and dotted CS. The ribbon is from PTI and I had to use my Stickles:-)

Make sure you visit the other Just Wordz DT members creations. They have some amazing projects for you to see:-)

My Cricut Craft Room's Festive Fridays

Thanks for stopping by for my Festive Friday creation:-) Today I used the Winter Frolic cartridge. It was so hard to pick what image I wanted to use. I really like everything that's on this cart! I chose the baby Jesus image. I thought it he would look sweet with a Peachy Keen face so I used the Just Baby Faces Asst set. I also did a little embossing with some Cuttlebug folders and stamped a woodgrain background from Stampin' Up. The tag layer is also from Stampin' Up called Top Note. The sentiment came from My Pink Stamper Faithful Sayings set and I can't forget to mention the Stickles:-)

Kick Up Your Heels

It's the last week of summer vacation here! Can you tell I'm just a teeny bit excited? I love my kids but sometimes.....;-) Today I made a card from the Summer Occasions cart for the Cricut 360 challenge. I was excited that I actually had a cart, a border punch, a sentiment, and an embossing folder that would work with the "Old West" theme. The border punch is from Martha Stewart and the embossing folder is Cuttlebug's Perfectly Paisley. The sentiment is from K. Andrew's Fashionable Friends set. Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)

Card Creating Sunday DT card

Good Sunday morning to all of you:-) Today I have made a birthday card for Erica's Card Creating Sunday at My Cricut Craft Room. I used the Accent Essentials cartridge to cut the flower. I sized the first layer to fit on an A2 sized card. I copied and pasted the flower and reduced the size by 1/2". I did this a second time so I could have a three layer flower. Next, I stamped Emma's Happy Birthday sentiment all over the petals on the first and third layers. I curled the petals with a pencil by simply sliding the paper across the pencil. I used a button and some baker's twine for the center and adhered each layer with Dimensionals. I used Emma's new Curly Label die and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from My Creative Time's Many Greetings set.

Lovin' from the Oven

Well, it finally looks like the rain has passed. We had big storms all day, so I procrastinated going to the grocery store. Now it's 10 pm... too late... oh darn;-) While I was waiting for the rain to end, I decided to "whip up" a challenge card. This one is for Bitten By The Bug 2. We are supposed to use the pie from the PPDU cart. I knew right away I wanted to try a shaped card. I welded the two pies on my Gypsy and hid all of the inside cuts. I copied the pie two more times so I could cut the "crust" and the "tin". I snipped away the bottom of the "crust" and adhered it to the "tin" after embossing. I used a cherry cut but I don't remember which cart:-( I cut it twice so I could do a brown stem. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms A Pinch and A Dash.

Poodle Birthday Card

Okay, I have got to get more creative with my titles:-) Just in a creative word slump today, I guess. Must be the weather;-) Rain, Rain go away, it's Saturday!

The challenges I worked on today are Throwback Thursday and Fabulous Friday. My card was made using the retired Paper Pups cart. This was one of the first carts I purchased because it had the cutest dog that looked like mine.

Hmmm, sort of....

I embossed some Very Vanilla CS with the Swiss Dots folder and layered a piece of DCWV Glitter Stack. I also used My Creative Time's new Curly Label die and a sentiment from an unknown company.  I tied little bows around the balloons with my new Trendy twine that just came the other day. It's two toned:-)

There's still time to play at Throwback Thursday and Fabulous Friday. Go check them out:-) Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)

Just Wordz Celebration Week 4

Good Morning Crafters! This is the fourth week of Kimberly's big Just Wordz stamp release celebration. Have any of you been able to try out her stamps yet? I find myself sitting with my acrylic block and playing a type of "scrabble" to see how many sentiments I can come up with:-)

This week I used Kate's ABC's and Cake Basics Cricut Cartridges. I popped up some of the flower layers to give them more dimension (boy, was it hard to cut up small pieces of pop dots!). I added some Stickles to coordinate with the DCWV All About Girls card stock.

Don't forget to leave a comment on this post as well as the other DT members for a chance to win a free set of Just Wordz stamps.

Festive Friday

Good Morning! This is my first post as My Cricut Craft Room's DT member:-) Erica loves, loves, loves Christmas! So, Fridays are Erica's days to showcase her favorite holiday.  This week I am using the Very Merry Tags cart along with the Snowflakes Cuttlebug embossing folder. I popped up the tree with some Dimensionals and used a little Stickles and American Crafts ribbon.

I wanted to create something simple that could be done quickly if you wanted to make multiple cards. I know sometimes I make a really ornate and intricate Christmas card and then realize it took 3 hours and I need to do 100!

Remounting Wood Mounted Stamps

Good Monday Morning Crafters! It looks like things are going to cool off here in the Midwest, at least for a few days:-) Can't wait to get out walking with my baby. Here is a video I did but didn't have time to post it until now. I did forget one important step about baby powder. I didn't re-film but did a quick pop-up through YouTube. Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)

Queen Of My Craftroom Back To School Hop

Good Morning Crafters! If you have come from Tina's blog then you are on the right track:-) If not then you will want to start at the beginning so you don't miss any of the fun. Here is the list for you to follow:

Tammy ~ You Are Here

My project is an 8x8 layout using DCWV Back to School stack and embellishments. The title was printed on my computer using the Chalkduster font. The punched Photo Corners and Spiral Edge are punches from Stampin' Up and the ribbon came from my stash. I have finally organized my ribbon so, other than S/U and PTI, I'm not exactly sure of the origin:-) The baker's twine I do know is from The Twinery.

I will be giving away this wonderful book from Annie's Attic on Monday. Simply become a follower and leave a comment on this post that you did (or if you already are) for a chance to win.

Don't forget to leave a comment on Michelle's blog for a chance to win some wonderful goodies:-) Thanks for stopping by! Your next stop is the fabulous Anita.

Tacky Tuesday Challenge

Good Morning! The new Tacky Tuesday Challenge has begun. This month you will need to create a project using the word "Berry". Here is my DT card for this month. I used an A2 size card base with S/U Real Red, embossing only the top half with one of the Nifty Fifties Cuttlebug folders. I used S/U's scalloped border punch on a strip of S/U Green Galore CS and adhered the cherry pattern cs from DCWV Sweet Matstack to it. The die cut is from the Hello Kitty Greetings cart. I added some scrap ribbon and Maraschino twine from The Twinery (I had to use it somehow... the name was screaming to be used with this card). I finished off with some Stickles and a sentiment from MPS Fruit and Veggies Puns set.

If you haven't checked out Ruthie's blog, head on over by clicking HERE. She has all of the details for joining the Tacky Tuesday Facebook Challenges. Thanks for stopping. Have a creative day:-)
