All You Need Is Love

I hope everyone is having a nice Memorial Day weekend:-) It is raining here right now but forecasted to be 92 on Monday, ugh! It was just 34 a couple of days ago. Since it is such icky weather I decided to try and get another challenge card done and uploaded. This one is for Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge. I don't have the Groovy Times cart but I do have the Feeling Groovy cart which I got to make my daughter's birthday cake last February. Click HERE to see it. I also used MPS Pink-alicious stamp set for the sentiment. I thought this worked well with the card. It reminds me of the Beatles and the movie I saw as a kid, Yellow Submarine. Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative Memorial Day Weekend:-)

Patches of Pink Link Up Party

Jalisa at Patches of Pink does a link up party every Thursday, bless her heart. Everyone is encouraged to upload a picture of what they've worked on during the week and come back on Monday and vote for their favorite entry. Such a fun way to see what everyone has been doing while meeting new bloggers:-)

I admit I have had this quilt for awhile and decided to finish sewing the binding on last night. My DH has be gone so I've been able to watch tv with the lights on and get some hand sewing done:-) Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day!

Graduation Card

Good Morning crafting friends! I finished my nephew's graduation card last night after Idol. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University last week and I need to get this out to him. I'm also submitting it to yesterday's Cricut Cardz challenge. The graduation cap cut is from the Locker Talk cart. The sentiment is from My Creative Time "Follow Your Dreams" set. I also used some CS from the DCWV High School mat stack and the Houndstooth BG stamp from SU. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Shabby Celebration

Well, it's definitely a wet Wednesday around here! And it looks like there is more coming. I don't ever remember having so much rain for such a long period of time. Good for the farmers, I guess:-)

After walking my sick 10 mo around last night until he fell asleep, I was too tired to finish my card for the Cricut Cardz challenge. I'll still need to finish it because it if for my FIL bday June 2. For now, I spent the morning making a card for three challenges, Birthday Sundaes - pearls and lace, Bitten By The Bug 2 - Floral Embellishment's bird, and Fantabulous Cricut - blue and a cloud. I used the Hanna Montana bird because I don't have the Floral Emb. cart. I stamped the background with Stampin' Up's Fine Lace BG stamp and the clouds were cut from the Indie Art cart. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Sweet As Can Be!

Some wicked weather we've been having! My thoughts and prayers to all of my crafting friends who are being affected by this terrible weather. As I wait for another storm to approach, I thought I should upload each card as I get them done tonight.

This card took me a little more time than I intended. I started with the cupcake theme and then decided to use it for the Paper Playtime add a charm challenge. I thought I had some food charms, but couldn't find them. I ended up going to Michaels before I had to pick up the kids from school. I found one cupcake charm in the children's craft area. I took the ribbon off of the card and used some PTI grosgrain and bakers twine from The Twinery. I actually like the duo better than the original ribbon I had used. The cupcake cut is from Simply Charmed and the sentiment is from Scrappy Moms "The Charmed Life" set. Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative evening:-)

Lady Bug Birthday

It was a long night which turned into a long day. My 10 m.o. contracted a strep virus somehow and was up all night drooling and crying. I've been changing his shirt about every hour because it gets soaked from all of his drool. I think his little tummy hurts, too. He keeps arching his back and screaming. The convenient care NP put him on an antibiotic but if he doesn't get any better, I'll be heading to his Dr. (DH is on a fishing trip):(

I quickly put this card together while he slept for a couple of hours this morning. He's down now again so I'm able to post this for Birthday Sundaes' three circles challenge and Whimsical Wednesday's old school Cricutless challenge. I used the lady bug from the Stampin' Up Little Layers set and the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set. I also wanted to try the ruffled ribbon technique I've been seeing a lot of. I tried to do it like all of the You Tube videos showed but somehow it doesn't quite look right. I wonder if it is the type of ribbon I used (Doodlebug)? I did emboss the black with the Swiss Dot folder. I hope this is still "old school":-) Thanks for stopping by. Please consider "likeing" my FB page and have a creative day:-)

Oh, forgot to mention I didn't have any black Stickles so I used this A La Mode "glitter glue" I found in a drawer. It's more like glue with black flecks. Not so happy with it. I think I'll sneak it into the kids' craft drawer:-)

Let's Roll Daddy-O!

Did I mention I love the 50's style?! I simply love the colors and the graphics! Funny though, this is the first time I used this cart. I originally purchased it because my mom wanted me to cut a poodle for a poodle skirt she was making (for what I have no idea). When the Simply Sunday challenge came around I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Luckily I am able to submit this card for Tacky Tuesday and Cricut Cardz. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

Happy Graduation!

I had a little bit of time after I got back from the grocery store this morning so I was able to get another challenge card done. I'm entering it for the Paper Cutz challenge.  I am using this card is for my DH's BB's DD's HS Graduation. (decoded: darling husband's best buddy's darling daughter's high school graduation) :-)
Her school colors are dark orange and black. I used the Hello Kitty Salutations cart and embossed the orange with a Stampin' Up Sizzix Texturz plate. The salutation is from MPS's Happiest Moments set. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)

It's supposed to be sunny and 81 degrees here today! I guess mother nature is making up for last month's cold and rain in one day;-)
I made this card is for the Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge. I used the Hoot N Holler lite cart with some Stampin' Up CS and buttons with PPI ribbon. The sentiment is from MPS Fabulous Phrases set. I forgot I used craft ink for the sentiment and ended up smudging the phrase a little. Boy does that stuff take a long time to dry! Thanks for stopping by. Happiness is a butterfly

Oh, I was so happy Claudia's challenge gave me an excuse to buy this MS punch I've been debating about getting. I wasn't quite sure if I should get it because it only punches on the top of pages and I usually like punching on the bottom. The butterfly is from the Pooh and Friends cart and the sentiment is from MPS Buggy Punnies set. Check back on Monday when I start my New Blog Design Giveaway! Thanks for stopping. Have a creative day:-)

My friend Mary at Just Cut The Paper has given me a set of Stampin' Up DVD cases and I have 5 different purple Stickles. Welcome Home

The current historical event inspired this card for Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge, Welcome Home. I think it's entirely appropriate for what I pray will be taking place soon. I am always thinking of my friends with spouses in the military. I am so grateful to them for the sacrifices they make to protect my freedom (especially my freedom to craft:-). My brother was in the army years back and there was never a day that went by that I prayed for his safety. God Bless America and those who protect us! Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day!

Lovely Floral

I was actually looking for a cart with a cut with the word "Create" for my craft room. When I searched on my Gypsy, Lovely Floral Lite cart was one of the carts that came up. I decided to suck it up and pay full price for a cartridge so I could have it right away. I was surprised to find this cart has a lot of really nice images to cut. I thought this would be the perfect cart for the Fantabulous Cricut Cartridge Challenge. I also used some cardstock from Stampin' Up as well as Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day:-)
